Located at the corner of Goldstream Avenue and Jacobson Road in Downtown Langford, City Hall is where current and future residents can learn more about their community and property.

Goldstream Park Nature House/Freeman King Visitor Centre

Goldstream Provincial Park encompasses 388 hectares of temperate rainforest and beautiful arbutus tree vegetation, found exclusively in the coastal areas of southwestern BC. The park area, less than 20 km northwest of Victoria, is also an annual spawning channel for Chum salmon. The Freeman King Visitor Centre, located on-site, offers unique activities and programs to educate the public about the history and importance of Goldstream Park.

Goldstream Station Market

The Goldsteam Station Market is a community market in the Westshore dedicated to supporting and promoting local agriculture, food producers and artists. The market hosts an average of 30 vendors each week all of whom make, grow, bake or raise the products sold. Talk with the farmers and learn how they farm, what they grow, how to eat in season and which new varieties to try. The market also provides the opportunity for local musicians to perform and local non-profit groups to educate and inspire the community.

Open Saturdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm, end of May to mid-October.

Goldstream Provincial Park, Amphibian Habitat

Characterized by the stripe on its back that changes from red to orange, the Western Redback Salamander (Plethodon vehiculum) lives in high densities in Goldstream Provincial Park. The old-growth forest in the park provides an excellent habitat for the species. The Western Redback Salamander is an entirely terrestrial amphibian, but it requires moisture to breath through its skin, so it does well living in the damp leaf litter and forest debris of old-growth forests. You'll spot these critters under moss, rocks, and decomposing logs.

Langford Exchange Bike Lockers

You can rent a bike locker at Langford Exchange by contacting the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition at info@gvcc.bc.ca. Locker rentals are $10.00 per month, and a $30.00 refundable deposit is required for the key.

Goldstream Provincial Park, Salmon Run

Goldstream National Park is the site of the annual chum salmon spawning run. Between mid-October and December, the salmon run upstream through Goldstream Park spawning in the small stream by the thousands. The bald eagles take advantage of the bounty! The park's riverside trails and observation platforms provide extraordinary opportunities to view the natural phenomenon, and tourists and locals alike visit to watch.
