Red-eared slider turtles (Trachemys scripta ssp. elegans), a non-native species, have been introduced to a pond adjacent to the Cunningham building, where western red-backed salamanders (Plethodon cinereus), and rough-skinned newt (Taricha granulosa ssp. granulosa), a species native to the area, have also been seen.
