Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

A smattering of islands and islets surrounded by reefs makes up the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. Adjacent to the Strait of Georgia, the national park has existed since 2003. Some of the larger islands in the park are accessible by BC Ferries, while the rest are reachable by private boat or kayak as well as water taxis. Visitors revel in the park's rugged beauty and diverse ecology. Serving as a home to 15 endangered species, and many other species at risk, the Gulf Islands National Park is a place of ecological importance. Hiking, diving, kayaking, storm-watching, and many unique coastal activities can be experienced in and around the park. Parks Canada's website contains detailed information on the park itself as well as an interactive map
